Ramona Waldner believes in adventures where others merely see stones, sand or dark water. Her intense wish to breath in the world and to detect what is there to be detected goes hand in hand with a tremendous amount of respect for nature and all its beings.

While in many cases everyone and everything in photography is turnt into an object, she emphasises the subject
and embraces its obstinacy as well as its (inner) beauty.

The artist Ramona Waldner does not know any other way than working on an eye level. She does not only watch through her camera, but listens with her camera, until the click happens nearly by chance, once more and once more, always listening to the person, the silence between words and the sweet noise of authenticity. She drew quite some attention on herself, when she demonstrated her talent to portray even a cow as if it was a hero or a philosopher, a teller of ancient stories, an archetype or a lady.

Ramona Waldner knows her style, her talent, her wish to catch what is hidden behind a face, a bird, a trench or behind the ocean, something that only waits for her to be allowed and welcome tell her its story. Like this, one might be surprised to disclose in her pictures, what is open and wide for Ramona.
